FCA Internship (Collegiate Volunteer) | FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)

The Tone:
This is an internship at FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), with experiences varying by location. This program is designed to develop student athletes in discerning their calling and career. It introduces them to various aspects of ministry through FCA, ultimately aiming to deepen their understanding of an individual calling to ministry.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Introduce student athletes to ministry through FCA while helping them discern their calling and career.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Adherence: Agree with and abide by FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Spiritual Discipline: Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord’s will for FCA.
• Leadership: Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.
• Community Involvement: Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Conduct: Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs at all times.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current college student and student athlete, designated as a collegiate volunteer. Early Career.
• Experience: A desire to engage in a learning and developmental ministry experience during a summer or a semester term.
• Skills: Demonstrated commitment to biblical standards of conduct, spiritual discipline including daily prayer and Bible study, and the ability to provide spiritual leadership.
