GETTY MARROW UNDERGRADUATE SUMMER INTERNSHIP – SOCIAL MEDIA | THE BROAD

The Tone:
This is a full-time summer internship at The Broad, a contemporary art museum located in downtown Los Angeles. The Broad is dedicated to making contemporary art accessible to the widest possible audience through free general admission, a robust program of special exhibitions, and innovative live events. This role is crucial for enhancing the museum’s digital presence and engaging with its audience online, ultimately increasing visitor awareness and encouraging in-person art experiences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Support community management by responding to direct messages and moderating comments across The Broad’s social media platforms.
• Create: Develop and curate social media content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, and maintain features like Highlights and Link in Bio.
• Strategize: Conduct trend and competitor research to inform the museum’s social media strategy.
• Analyze: Perform audits of current social media tactics, focusing on audience engagement and content performance.
• Promote: Support real-time social media coverage during museum events and collaborate with cross-departmental teams to promote exhibitions and programming.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate in a bachelor’s or associate’s degree program, having completed at least one semester or two quarters of college by June 2026. Recent graduates (after April 1, 2026) are also eligible, excluding those enrolled in a second BA or BS program.
• Experience: No specific professional work experience is explicitly required for eligibility; however, candidates should be prepared to demonstrate relevant past experiences in their application and express a strong interest in museums and visual arts professions.
• Skills: Ability to assist with community management, create social media content, conduct digital trend and competitor research, audit content performance, and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Bonus: An expressed interest in contemporary art and a demonstrated perspective that contributes to increasing diversity within museums and visual arts professions.
