Your Role and Responsibilities
As part of the tax team, you will be instrumental in providing financial health assurance to clients. Your work will involve crafting business solutions beyond mere spreadsheet management. Key responsibilities include:
- Considering tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions.
- Researching complex tax issues and drafting technical memorandums.
- Assisting with international tax structuring and operational concerns.
- Preparing tax returns and actively participating in client engagement teams.
- Supporting National Tax Office functions, such as writing internal and external tax alerts on current tax developments and emerging planning techniques.
- Assisting with internal tax education initiatives.
- Handling the tax aspects of various transactions.
- Engaging in meaningful interactions with staff at all levels and a diverse client base.
- Deepening knowledge in both tax and tax consulting service lines.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong interest in tax law: Demonstrated through completed or planned tax courses before graduation.
- Leadership and problem-solving skills: Must be a detail-oriented leader with excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Educational background:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, OR
- Master’s degree in accounting or tax.
- Professional pursuit: Must be pursuing an LLM, JD, or CPA license.
- Academic achievement: A minimum major GPA of 3.0.
This is an exempt position that may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is $78,000.00 – $87,000.00. Compensation decisions for experienced hires consider responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, standardized, market-based starting salaries ensure fairness and reflect industry benchmarks.
