What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction assistance: Support the teaching of fire subject matter to students.
• Skills development: Facilitate the practice and mastery of manipulous skills.
• Performance evaluation: Conduct skills testing to assess student competency.
• Curriculum enhancement: Develop and adapt curriculum for various delivery methods.
• Knowledge maintenance: Consistently update subject matter knowledge to remain current.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree or higher, OR an Associate’s degree, with the professional experience directly related to the fire technology teaching assignment.
• Experience: Two years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or six years of professional experience with an Associate’s degree, directly applicable to the fire technology field.
• Skills:
• Collaboration: Work effectively and harmoniously with diverse colleagues and students.
• Communication: Convey information clearly and effectively, both written and orally.
• Pedagogy: Assess student learning outcomes and develop relevant curriculum.
• Technical familiarity: Utilize computer knowledge and explore new technologies for program benefit.
