Job Summary

As an NDT Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with calibrations, performing Nondestructive Tests, and evaluating findings for acceptance or rejection based on written instructions. This position involves direct support to Radiographers and other NDT professionals in various inspection operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and proficiently utilize Nondestructive Test equipment.
  • Assist Radiographers in the precise calibration of NDT equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Support Radiographers in conducting various tests to ensure quality and detect discontinuities (defects) using established NDT methods of inspection.
  • Accurately record and document the results of all inspections performed.
  • Actively assist in performing NDT procedures, including carrying essential equipment and supporting other operational tasks as needed.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management to contribute to team and operational success.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Some college education is preferred.
  • Technical Background: A technical background is desired, demonstrating an aptitude for learning and working with technical equipment and processes.
  • Trustworthiness & Reliability: Must possess the necessary experience, credentials, and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable. This is a federal and state regulatory requirement, determined by a thorough background check.
  • Driving Record: Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet stringent company standards to qualify for driving company vehicles.
  • Screenings: MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG/ALCOHOL AND BACKGROUND SCREENS PER CLIENT REQUIREMENTS. This is a critical prerequisite for employment.
