Assembler | SPX Technologies
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at SPX Technologies. SPX Technologies builds innovative solutions within HVAC and Detection and Measurement platforms that foster a safer, more efficient, and sustainable world. As an Assembler, you will be instrumental in constructing the high-quality industrial HVAC equipment, such as cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, that companies rely on for comfort and mission-critical cooling solutions. Your work ensures the delivery of essential equipment for large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Full-time
• Mission: Assembles metal products partially or completely, ensuring completed units pass final inspection for industrial HVAC equipment.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Position Parts: Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled or controlled documents.
• Fasten Components: Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, or other appropriate fasteners.
• Operate Tools: Operate drills, hand/air impact wrenches, and various hand tools required for assembly.
• Produce Units: Produce a completed unit that is capable of passing final inspection.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: One to three months of related experience and/or training in assembly.
• Skills:
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
