Job Title: Process Sciences Laboratory Technician
Join our dynamic Process Sciences team and embark on an exciting journey to gain substantial hands-on experience in cell culture and bioprocessing. This role is ideally suited for individuals with a passion for laboratory work, a desire to learn cutting-edge techniques, and a commitment to contributing to impactful scientific projects.
Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)
As a Process Sciences Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client-focused lab environment, working both independently and collaboratively. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting small-scale experiments and essential laboratory operations.
- Preparing various media and buffer solutions accurately.
- Performing aliquoting and aseptic transfers with precision.
- Executing bioreactor builds and ensuring accurate probe calibrations.
- Conducting autoclaving and providing general lab support to maintain operational efficiency.
- Running comprehensive cell culture experiments, from shake flasks to bioreactors.
- Assisting with sample analysis and meticulously maintaining accurate, organized records for all experimental work.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific field.
- Demonstrated hands-on technical lab experience and competence in basic lab techniques.
- Strong focus, accuracy, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM shifts when needed.
- Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are strongly encouraged to apply.
Preferred:
- Experience with mammalian cell culture using aseptic technique.
- Familiarity with small-scale fed-batch bioreactors (e.g., 2L systems).
- Experience working in a cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) regulated environment.
Work Environment & Compensation
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, primarily on the 2nd shift (6:00 PM to 2:30 AM). Please note that applicants must also have the flexibility to work 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM shifts when operational needs require. The compensation for this role ranges from $21.50 – $22.50 per hour, with an additional 10% shift differential for second-shift hours.
