Junior Designer – Architecture | SOM

You will contribute to the development of project aspects from day one, expanding your learning and proposing bold ideas within a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment that values innovation and individual contributions. The TL;DR

• Pay: $64000–$68000 yearly

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute to specific project aspects, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving under direct supervision of project leadership.
• Produce diverse presentation and contract deliverables, including diagrams, 3D models, drawings, renderings, and animations.
• Communicate project progress and ideas effectively through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means internally.
• Innovate designs using strong conceptual abilities, integrating interdisciplinary criteria to advance project components.
• Actively collaborate with project teams by critically evaluating ideas and managing workload to meet task deadlines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent completion of a professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years required beyond recent degree completion; demonstrated proficiency in various design and documentation platforms.
• Skills: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, parametric and rendering software; proficiency in Adobe Suite and Google Workspace; strong conceptual design ability; basic understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques.
