Junior Designer – Interiors | SOM

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Innovate with a strong conceptual ability and integrate interdisciplinary criteria to advance the design of project components.
• Technical Knowledge: Apply a basic understanding of interior and architectural materials, finishes, building systems, standards, and construction techniques.
• Documentation: Enrich design concepts through technical strategies, researching, designing, and documenting across all project phases using appropriate tools.
• Project Lifecycle: Contribute to interior and architectural design, including workplace planning, design concept development, documentation, construction administration, and FF&E selection.
• Time Management: Manage workload and meet project task deadlines and commitments, working under the guidance of project leaders.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent completion of a professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. This is an early career position.
• Experience: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, VR, Adobe Suite, parametric, rendering & graphics software; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Actively implements BIM/CAD project standards and procedures.
• Skills: Strong collaborative ability; effectively communicates with project teams and consultants through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
