The Tone:
This is an immediate temporary position, with significant potential to transition into a permanent temp-to-hire role, located fully onsite near Irvine Spectrum, Irvine, CA. The Accounting Clerk is a critical member of the team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts receivable, and assisting customers, directly supporting the company’s operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

• Mission: This person ensures accurate financial record-keeping, manages accounts receivable, and resolves billing inquiries to support the company’s financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Support: Assist customers with various billing inquiries, providing clear and helpful information and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Cash Management: Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) cash posting by accurately recording all incoming payments and prepare and process cash deposits, ensuring timely and secure banking.
• Account Reconciliation: Scan and organize bank statements for record-keeping and reconciliation purposes, ensuring data integrity.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Proactively follow up on billing discrepancies, late charges, and accrued interest to ensure accurate account balances are maintained.
• Issue Investigation: Conduct thorough research to resolve complex account issues and make necessary adjustments with precision, maintaining data accuracy across accounts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Foundational understanding of accounting principles and corporate office procedures, essential for ensuring accurate financial operations and efficient administrative support.
• Experience: At least 2 years of practical experience gained within an accounting department or a professional corporate office setting, demonstrating familiarity with standard business practices.
• Skills:
• Adaptability: A strong willingness to learn new processes and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving work requirements, ensuring continuous contribution.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling professional interaction with both customers and internal team members.
