The Tone:
This is a contract role at Icon Global Technologies LLC, located onsite in Chicago, IL, or Charlotte, NC. The company is seeking a UX Designer to contribute significantly to the creation of intuitive user interfaces for mobile devices and web-based applications. This role is crucial for ensuring tailored digital experiences for users by translating complex requirements into effective visual and interactive design solutions. The UX Designer will play a key part in bridging the gap between project requirements and compelling user experiences, understanding accessibility standards for both web and mobile, and ensuring adherence to established style standards on typography and graphic design. This involves active participation in the entire design lifecycle, from initial analysis and concept creation to collaboration with various internal and external teams to deliver optimized digital experiences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design & Visual Translation: Actively participate in software component design, meticulously translating complex project requirements into clear visual designs and interactive, intuitive solutions.
• User Analysis & Artifact Creation: Analyze project requirements to accurately identify distinct user roles and specific use cases, then create foundational flow charts, essential low-fidelity wireframes, and polished high-fidelity design compositions based on these insights.
• Cross-functional Design Presentation: Present, justify, and effectively propose design solutions to teammates, project stakeholders, and senior management to achieve a shared understanding and alignment across all teams.
• Interface Development Partnership: Partner closely with development teams to create and implement intuitive user interfaces for both mobile devices and various web-based applications, ensuring a strong understanding of web and mobile accessibility.
• UX Research & Collaboration: Provide expert advice and guidance on UX research methodologies and testing activities designed to analyze and predict user behavior, while also collaborating with marketing, visual designers, content strategists, and internal and external designers to deliver tailored digital user experiences.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s degree in a related field, coupled with demonstrated UX design experience specifically for digital products or services, forms the foundational qualification for this role.
• Experience: A compelling professional portfolio showcasing a breadth of UX design work across both web and mobile platforms is a mandatory requirement.
• Skills:
* Demonstrated working knowledge and practical application of key design and development technologies, including Figma, Sketch, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for clear, effective interaction and collaboration with teammates, project stakeholders, and senior management.
* Proven multi-tasking and time-management skills, along with the ability to strategically prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.
