Junior Business Controller – Supply Chain | DeLaval
The Tone:
This is an early career role at DeLaval, located in Kansas City, Missouri. DeLaval is a global leader in providing solutions that improve farm performance for professional food producers, focusing on reducing environmental footprint, enhancing food production, and improving the well-being of people and animals. This role is crucial for delivering financial insights and driving operational efficiency across DeLaval’s Americas Supply Chain operations. You will partner with Supply Chain leaders to translate data into actionable improvements and support the financial integrity of a global organization.

• Mission: Drive financial insight, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement by supporting cost accounting, operational reporting, and business controlling activities for the Americas Supply Chain.
• Tech Stack: ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred), Microsoft Excel, Power BI or Copilot
What You’ll Actually Do
• Partner: Collaborate with Supply Chain managers to analyze and improve financial performance across factories, warehouses, and support operations.
• Maintain: Ensure accurate product costing by verifying master data and calculation methods.
• Investigate: Calculate, investigate, and follow up on production and purchasing variances to identify root causes.
• Prepare: Develop and support financial forecasting foundations, and prepare reporting for manufacturing, warehousing, and freight.
• Optimize: Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement sustainable solutions within the Supply Chain.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, demonstrating foundational knowledge in financial principles.
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in finance and accounting, including experience working with ERP systems, with SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills, advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, high attention to detail, and strong communication abilities for partnering with business stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience with Power BI or Copilot, proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese, and prior experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, multinational, or multi-currency environments.
