Junior Electronics Engineer | Infinitum
The Tone:
This is an early career role at Infinitum, located in Liberty Lake, WA. Infinitum is pioneering electric motors with patented printed circuit board (PCB) stator technology, creating designs that are lighter, more efficient, and more sustainable than traditional motors. This technology is vital for fostering a cleaner future across applications like HVAC, industrial systems, and e-mobility. This pivotal role within the Electronics Team involves supporting the simulation, design, testing, and validation of these cutting-edge products, working under the guidance of a Hardware Technical Lead.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaboration: Collaborate with technicians to build and operate power electronics test benches effectively.
• Testing: Execute comprehensive functional, performance, and stress testing on motor drives and various other power electronics products.
• Circuit Design: Design a variety of electronic circuits specifically for Infinitum products.
• PCB Management: Take charge of component selection, manage part libraries, and oversee the layout and design of PCBs.
• Firmware Integration: Work in close conjunction with firmware engineers to design robust hardware, deploy firmware efficiently, and thoroughly test electronics functionality.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field, with demonstrated coursework or practical experience in power electronics.
• Experience: Proficiency and hands-on experience with Altium Designer for schematic and PCB layout.
• Skills: Fundamental knowledge of basic power electronic converters, strong capability to accurately read and interpret schematics and datasheets, practical experience using essential lab equipment, a solid understanding of electrical safety protocols for high-voltage systems, exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills, and knowledge of embedded C programming for microcontrollers.
• Bonus: Hands-on experience with motor drives in a laboratory setting, knowledge of motor drive control theory, laboratory experience with low-voltage power systems, 1-2 years of professional experience specifically with PCB design in Altium, simulation experience with power converters, and experience with NI LabVIEW.
