As the Social Media Intern for 612 Central, the dedicated social media account for the SKOL Football Talk Show (across Instagram and TikTok), you will play a crucial role in expanding our reach and fostering a vibrant online community. You will have full autonomy and creative freedom to manage content creation and posting, directly influencing our brand’s voice and engagement.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating engaging posts, stories, reels, and TikToks derived from new SKOL Football Talk Show episodes.
  • Staying abreast of and reporting on breaking news and relevant discussions within the Minnesota sports landscape.
  • Brainstorming and implementing new, innovative content ideas to drive viewership and engagement.
  • Collaborating with Luke Schwandt and the SKOL Entertainment Network team to align social media efforts with overall show objectives.

This is a highly flexible position, requiring approximately 2 hours per week, making it an ideal fit for high school or college students looking to gain practical experience without compromising their academic commitments. We particularly encourage applications from students attending high schools and colleges within Minnesota.

  • Academic Background (Strongly Preferred): Students pursuing a degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Social Media, Communications, or a related field will have an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok platforms, including current trends and best practices.
  • A passion for football and Minnesota sports is a significant plus!
