Associate – In-Store Food & Non-Food Demonstrations | Crossmark Inc.
The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Product Connections, operating within various in-store retail environments, with working hours not expected to exceed 25 hours per week. Product Connections, part of Acosta Group, is a full-service marketing agency specializing in digital and traditional retail events, demos, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. The company’s core mission is to deliver brand solutions that effectively connect products to the right target audience, guiding consumers down the conversion funnel. As an Associate, you will be crucial in creating exciting shopping experiences, educating customers on product features and benefits, and directly driving sales through captivating in-store food and non-food demonstrations, all while maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to detailed event execution guidelines.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Expertise: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products represented, understanding their specific features and benefits, to effectively communicate these to consumers.
• Consumer Engagement: Proactively intercept, engage, and interact with consumers, positively selling products through effective communication of features and benefits to potential customers.
• Sample Preparation: Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances like microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives, strictly adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Event Execution: Properly set up and prepare the Event Table for optimal execution, maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation, and achieve 100% completion of all assigned work and event tasks.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain positive rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives, and assist with preparations for client visits.
• Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete and submit expense reports and all online requirements on the same day as event execution, utilizing company electronic systems.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Experience: Proficiency in using personal computers or mobile devices for applications and internal systems, including Microsoft Outlook for communication and viewing documents such as Word and Adobe PDFs.
• Skills: Proficient in product demonstration and sales techniques; capable of safe food preparation using various small appliances and knives; skilled in maintaining a clean and sterile workstation; professional appearance and effective communication; ability to navigate company’s electronic systems for administrative tasks.
• Bonus: One to three months of related experience and/or training is preferred; a local Food Handlers permit may be required.
