This Kaizen Summer Sales Intern role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the core functions of outside sales, territory management, and customer engagement, making a tangible impact on the company’s growth initiatives. The position is essential for supporting lead generation, conducting service demonstrations, and managing client accounts, directly contributing to the company’s sales cycle solutions and overall business development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales Development: Actively engage in outside sales activities by identifying potential clients and building strong, lasting relationships through strategic cold calling and direct outreach efforts.
• Territory Management: Assist in managing assigned sales territories by analyzing current market trends and developing effective strategies to expand the customer base and achieve sales objectives.
• Product Demonstration: Conduct compelling service demonstrations to effectively showcase product features and benefits, identifying opportunities for upselling additional solutions that precisely meet client needs.
• CRM & Lead Tracking: Support vital lead generation efforts by diligently utilizing CRM software to track prospects, manage follow-up activities, and maintain accurate records of sales interactions.
• Business Strategy: Collaborate closely with management on various business development initiatives, aiming to identify new market opportunities and continuously improve existing sales processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and professionally addressing client inquiries and concerns, ensuring a positive experience and fostering client loyalty.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a business, marketing, or a related academic program, possessing a strong interest in pursuing a career in sales, marketing, or management.
• Experience: Demonstrated enthusiasm for engaging in outside sales activities, understanding B2B transactions, and navigating the complexities of sales cycles.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, particularly in the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong rapport with diverse clients. Familiarity with CRM software. Strong analysis skills to interpret conversations and guide clients through appropriate solutions paths.
• Bonus: Prior experience in retail sales, cold calling, or account management is considered a valuable asset, though not a mandatory requirement for this role.
