The Tone:
This is a paid internship at Kaizen Marketing, located in person. Kaizen Marketing focuses on business development and sales, providing solutions to clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in critical areas such as outside sales, territory management, and direct customer engagement. The Kaizen Summer Sales Intern plays a vital role in driving growth by actively generating leads, conducting compelling service demonstrations, and strategically managing client accounts to help them master sales cycle solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Acquisition: Proactively identify potential clients through strategic cold calling and direct outreach efforts, building strong relationships to initiate new business.
• Territory Management: Assist in analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and developing effective strategies to expand our customer base within your assigned territory.
• Service Demonstration: Expertly showcase product and service features and benefits, effectively upselling tailored solutions that precisely meet client needs and solve their specific challenges.
• Lead Management: Support lead generation efforts by utilizing CRM software to efficiently track prospects, manage follow-up activities, and nurture leads comprehensively through the sales funnel.
• Business Development Contribution: Collaborate closely with management on initiatives to identify new market opportunities and contribute directly to the continuous improvement of sales processes.
• Customer Relations: Provide exceptional customer service by acting as a primary point of contact, addressing client inquiries promptly, professionally, and effectively to ensure high satisfaction.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career; currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a business, marketing, or related program, demonstrating a strong interest in sales, marketing, or management.
• Experience: Demonstrated enthusiasm for outside sales, B2B transactions, and a keen understanding of sales cycles. Experience or familiarity with CRM software for efficiently tracking prospects and managing sales activities.
• Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong rapport with diverse clients. Strong analytical skills for interpreting conversations, analyzing client needs, and determining effective sales paths. Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail through strong organizational skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience in retail sales, cold calling, or account management is considered a plus, though not strictly required.
