Kaizen Summer Sales Intern | Kaizen Marketing
The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Kaizen Marketing. Kaizen Marketing focuses on business development and sales. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in outside sales, territory management, and customer engagement. As an intern, you will play a vital role in driving growth through lead generation, service demonstrations, and strategic account management, preparing you for a successful career in sales and sales cycle solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Acquisition: Engage in outside sales activities by identifying potential clients and building strong relationships through cold calling and direct outreach.
• Territory Strategy: Assist in managing territory sales by analyzing market trends and developing strategies to expand the customer base.
• Product Presentation: Conduct service demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, effectively upselling solutions that meet client needs.
• Lead Management: Support lead generation efforts using CRM software to track prospects and manage follow-up activities.
• Business Development: Collaborate with management on business development initiatives to identify new opportunities and improve sales processes.
• Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Performance Culture: Participate in a sports-like atmosphere and compete against yourself and teammates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achievement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career individual currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a business, marketing, or related program with a strong interest in sales, marketing, or management.
• Experience: Demonstrated enthusiasm for outside sales, B2B transactions, and a solid understanding of sales cycles.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong rapport with clients. Possess strong analysis skills to interpret conversations, understand client needs, and determine the best path forward, alongside the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Bonus: Familiarity with CRM software. Prior experience in retail sales, cold calling, or account management.
