2026 Summer Intern – HIT Program Management Office (PMO) | Genentech

The Tone:
This is an internship at Genentech, located in Hillsboro, OR, specifically within the Hillsboro Innovative Therapies (HIT) facility. The company is dedicated to delivering multi-modality therapies with the potential to change patient lives. This role is crucial for empowering project teams within the HIT Program Management Office (PMO) to effectively plan, execute, and drive strategic decisions. The intern will collaborate with stakeholders across the network to ensure consistent and impactful project delivery for life-changing treatments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Portfolio Development: Support the development and deployment of HIT’s Portfolio Management tool to streamline project oversight.
• Process Refinement: Assist in the refinement of critical project and financial controls, capital forecasting, and governance processes.
• Resource Optimization: Facilitate the rollout of the resource capacity model, utilizing data analytics to assess resource availability for operations and the expanding product portfolio.
• Meeting Management: Manage meeting logistics, including scheduling, preparing agendas, supporting portfolio reviews, and documenting minutes for technology transfer activities.
• Documentation & Monitoring: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and monitor project milestones and progress to ensure timely completion.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Bio/Chemical Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Skills: Strong data analytical skills with attention to detail, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Bonus: Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software such as Excel, SAS/JMP, coupled with a cultural alignment with Genentech’s values of Integrity, Courage, and Passion.
