About the Job: Poultry Production and Live Operations Intern
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in the poultry industry. Interns will work across various poultry production and live operations roles, familiarizing themselves with the entire production process. Additionally, there will be exposure to critical operational support departments such as Safety and Quality Assurance.
We are seeking motivated individuals who can contribute innovative ideas and create value for our business. Successful interns may have the opportunity to transition into full-time Cobb Team Members, based on performance and business needs.
Location Details:
These positions could be located in one of our facilities within the following states:
- Arkansas
- Oklahoma
- Missouri
- Tennessee
- Kentucky
- Georgia
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
Note: This position is slated for candidates currently local to these areas. Priority will be given to local applicants. If local candidates are not selected, applicants from other areas will then be reviewed.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
- Work in a variety of poultry production and live operations positions.
- Become familiar with the various parts of the production process.
- Gain exposure to operation support departments, including Safety and Quality Assurance.
- Contribute to success through innovative ideas and value creation.
Requirements:
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with at least one semester of school remaining.
- Agriculture, Poultry Operations, or other agriculture-related fields are preferred.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer Skills:
- Basic computer skills.
Special Skills:
- Motivated self-starter with a desire to learn from others.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Pay Range/Rate: Hourly. Additional compensation may be available based on factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Tyson will develop an offer based on relevant skills, capabilities, market data, internal equity, and other relevant information.
