About the Role: Financial Planning & Analysis Internship

This Financial Planning & Analysis internship offers a comprehensive experience, involving the coordination and preparation of consolidated management reporting for Enterprise Management and Finance Leadership. Interns will gain significant exposure to management, with unique opportunities to deliver presentations directly to the CFO and other Finance leaders. Key responsibilities include assisting in financial modeling, analyzing variances, conducting strategic analysis of the competitive environment, performing in-depth research, collaborating on process optimization, supporting automation initiatives, and contributing to various ad hoc requests.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordination and preparation of consolidated management reporting for Enterprise Management and Finance Leadership.
  • Exposure to management with opportunities to deliver clear, cohesive, compelling presentations to the CFO and Finance leadership.
  • Assist in financial modeling and analysis of variances between actuals and projections. Build analytics and reports to enhance understanding of business drivers and improve forecasting.
  • Perform strategic analysis on the competitive environment and help establish benchmarks against peers.
  • Conduct in-depth research to inform key strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various functional areas on process optimization opportunities.
  • Support the team in the implementation of automation projects.
  • Actively contribute to various ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Assist in the promotion of team engagement and a collaborative work environment.

Internship Details

  • Dates: A nine-week program commencing in early June 2026.
  • Hourly Rate: $22/hour.
  • Location: New York, NY or Charlotte, NC.
  • Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring an on-site presence of 3 days per week to combine flexibility with team collaboration.

  • Academic Standing: Rising senior preferred (Class of 2027).
  • Data Analysis: Comfortable with and experienced in financial/quantitative data analysis.
  • Communication: Ability to synthesize complex data to formulate clear and concise executive messages for internal audiences.
  • Execution: Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, solve problems, and think strategically/critically.
  • Proactivity & Adaptability: Pro-active, comfortable working in an often-ambiguous environment, with the ability to quickly pivot between tasks and priorities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: High level of comfort and ease interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Integrity: Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
