Entry-Level Rotational Program – Finance Operations | General Motors

The Tone:
This is a full-time entry-level rotational program at General Motors, located in Warren, MI. General Motors is a global organization dedicated to designing, building, and selling the world’s best vehicles and associated services, driving towards a future of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion. This TRACK program is critical for developing well-rounded Financial Analysts who will drive positive change and contribute to the company’s strategic goals across its global operations, shaping the future of mobility.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop core financial capabilities: Engage in a rotation program specifically designed to cultivate well-rounded Financial Analysts.
• Experience diverse finance functions: Gain comprehensive exposure across multiple operating finance functions, directly supporting GM’s mission to design, build, and sell vehicles and services.
• Contribute to strategic areas: Participate in varied rotations, which may include Sales and Marketing, Product Development, Purchasing & Supply Chain, Customer Care & Aftersales, and Manufacturing.
• Foster professional growth: Benefit from an immersive experience through dedicated advisors and mentors, supporting personal and professional development within the organization.
• Cultivate a professional network: Engage in networking and social events with peers and leadership as part of a structured cohort approach, building valuable connections.
• Apply financial analysis: Actively utilize financial metrics, model scenarios, and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows to provide business insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level role. Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field. Graduation must occur between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Experience: Demonstrated capability to work full-time, 40 hours per week. Possess an understanding of common financial metrics such as ROI, NPV, and IRR, and the ability to analyze core financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and capital structures.
• Skills: Strong data analysis, learning agility, creative solutioning, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and valuation techniques is required.
• Bonus: Proven leadership experience within academic studies, extracurricular activities, or service organizations. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and demonstrate high integrity, persistence, accountability, and the capacity to deal with ambiguity while taking action to prioritize and meet goals.
