Job Title: Unpaid Remote Internship / Volunteer Opportunity – Youth Civic Engagement & Activism
About the Opportunity
Join our dynamic team of mission-driven young people from across the United States. This unpaid, remote internship or volunteer opportunity offers a flexible commitment of 5-30+ hours per week, with flexible start and end dates. You’ll contribute to amplifying youth civic engagement and participating in activism on critical progressive and social justice issues, including climate change, racial justice, reproductive rights, ending gun violence, and combating voter suppression in the United States.

Key Curriculum & Responsibilities
- Work on teams to participate in grassroots activism and advocacy on civic and social justice issues you care about.
- Conduct research to become better educated and aware about these topics.
- All interns are expected to join and help with existing voter registration drives at their schools.
- If no existing drive is present, we support interns in initiating and performing their own registration efforts (peer-to-peer or running a drive with school permission).
- Collaborate on a variety of tasks and communicate regularly with your team.
- Meet virtually on a weekly basis with your team.
- Participate in civic actions, work on voter turnout projects, and perform targeted outreach.
- Engage in advocacy and activism.
- Find and participate in volunteer opportunities together.
- Attend the TurnUp Speaker Series.
- Perform civic and activism-related research and writing.
- Most importantly, work together to advocate for issues important to young people, fight voter suppression, and boost youth voter turnout in the United States.
