Founder’s Intern – Powerlab / thetradelab.ai

Powerlab / thetradelab.ai is building AI for supply chain compliance/optimization.

Job Type: Part-time Intern

Hours: ~20 hrs/week (guaranteed minimum)

Compensation: $15-20/hr to start

About the Role

Powerlab is an early-stage startup developing AI tools for supply chain compliance and optimization.

We are seeking a part-time Startup Intern to work directly with the solo founder on high-priority tasks spanning operations, content creation, customer preparation, and research. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals eager to gain genuine exposure to the foundational stages of building a startup.

Powerlab was incorporated in October 2023 and has already secured a partnership with a $55B+ revenue company with over 100,000 employees.

If you are resourceful, reliable, and excited to learn quickly, this role offers a valuable pathway to acquiring meaningful startup experience.

What You’ll Do

This is a cross-functional role with responsibilities varying week-to-week based on immediate priorities. Examples of tasks include:

• Drafting and editing slides, documents, and internal materials.
• Supporting customer meeting preparation and subsequent follow-up tasks.
• Assisting with recording and editing videos and other content.
• Helping with outreach initiatives and various operational tasks.
• Leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to enhance efficiency and accelerate work.
• Providing basic coding and automation support, if you possess relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Some coding experience, especially with AI-native coding tools like Claude Code.
• Experience with video editing.
• Experience with slide design and presentation building.

Compensation & Time Commitment

• Compensation: $15-20/hour to start.
• Time Commitment: ~20 hours/week (part-time) guaranteed.
• Scheduling: Flexible, with a preference for some overlap hours for collaborative work.
