Operations Leadership Trainee | Kronospan

The Tone: This is a full-time, structured Operations Leadership Trainee program at Kronospan, located within one of its advanced, US-based facilities. Kronospan is globally recognized as the leading producer of wood panel products, including MDF, OSB, Particleboard, and Laminate Flooring, operating with state-of-the-art automation and a strong commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness. This intensive 12-month program is specifically designed to cultivate future leaders by equipping them with critical management and technical skills, while simultaneously engaging them in hands-on projects that directly improve production, reduce waste, and streamline operational processes across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cultivate management expertise: Actively acquire essential management skills, encompassing effective leadership, successful teambuilding strategies, and strong interpersonal communication, through practical application.
• Develop technical proficiency: Gain in-depth technical skills related to critical production management controls, understanding complex operational processes, and interpreting key performance metrics within a manufacturing environment.
• Lead organizational projects: Drive and execute projects focused on improving production efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing various operational processes.
• Undergo comprehensive rotations: Participate fully in an intensive 12-month program structure that includes planned rotations through diverse functional roles within the assigned facility.
• Prepare for leadership: Position yourself for a significant leadership role within the Kronospan organization upon the successful completion of the training program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree with preferred majors in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; this is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Demonstrated excellent attendance record; a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes, develop leadership capabilities, and progress within the Kronospan organization.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; robust analytical capabilities; proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Capability to prioritize work activities, assignments, and demands with flexibility to adapt to change; willingness to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts, nights, and/or weekends based on business needs; demonstrated excellent work ethic, strong time management, and organizational skills; a collaborative team player across departments.
