Job Summary

LFS, Inc. is looking for motivated Entry-Level Net Hangers to join our net production team. This is a hands-on, skill-building role where you will learn the craft of assembling, repairing, and customizing nets used in commercial fishing, marine operations, sports, and industrial applications. No prior experience is required—just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.

Essential Functions

• Assist in building, hanging, and repairing nets according to project specifications.
• Measure, cut, and assemble netting materials using hand tools and equipment.
• Learn knot-tying, splicing, and net-mending techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Support senior net hangers and supervisors with daily tasks.
• Skill-based wages with increases as proficiency improves.
• Opportunities for advancement into senior net hanger, lead, or specialized roles.
• Training provided to develop industry-specific skills.

Additional Responsibilities

• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Compensation & Schedule

Entry Level Wage is $19.50 – $22.00 DOE.

This is a full-time year-round benefited position. You will be scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required – training provided.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work with hands for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and positive attitude.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in commercial fishing, marine environments, or manual labor.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (6-8 hours a day); walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision and depth perception.
