Role Summary
As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting Clean Harbors’ internal financial operations. You will gain exposure to key finance functions, including the preparation of financial statements, active participation in budget and forecast cycles, and the development of analytical tools. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a practical, fast-paced corporate setting.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the compilation and timely delivery of accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements, including detailed month-end results, essential financial support packages, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analyses for Senior Management.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Create insightful ad-hoc financial analyses for various user communities across the organization, utilizing a range of internal systems and applications to support strategic decision-making.
• Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Contribute to the creation of input templates, facilitate the consolidation of the annual operating plan, and support the bi-weekly forecast processes, gaining critical experience in financial planning.
• Tool Development: Assist in the development of new financial tools and models using powerful applications like Excel and PowerBI, enhancing reporting capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Compliance & Controls: Help maintain strict compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls associated with financial reporting, understanding the importance of regulatory adherence.
• Process Improvement: Actively participate in managing key reporting and analysis processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with the implementation of innovative solutions to optimize workflows.
• Other Duties: Undertake various other assigned duties, providing broad exposure to different facets of corporate finance.

Qualifications
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in finance:
• Academic Pursuit: Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, demonstrating a foundational understanding of financial principles and concepts.
• Technical Proficiency: Possess strong PC skills, including excellent working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with financial modeling and data manipulation in Excel is highly beneficial.
• Confidentiality & Prioritization: Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information and effectively prioritize between multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to interface and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and teams throughout the company on a regular basis.
• Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized with a methodical approach to tasks and projects.
• Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills are essential for communicating financial data and insights clearly and concisely.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail is critical for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reports and analyses.
