FP&A Intern | Cabinetworks Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Cabinetworks Group, with the corporate finance team. Cabinetworks Group builds life into the kitchen, recognizing that its people are the life of the company. This role is crucial for gaining an understanding of a Financial Analyst’s responsibilities in a corporate setting, offering exposure to leadership and coaching. • Mission: Assist the corporate finance team in preparing financial forecasts and budgets, validating data, and enhancing reporting processes to support broader strategic goals.
• Tech Stack: Oracle BI, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, sales and use tax software
What You’ll Actually Do
• Forecast and Budgeting: Assist with the preparation of the 6+6 forecast and annual budget process.
• Data Retrieval: Retrieve functional spend detail by account from Oracle BI and update functional templates.
• Tax Support: Assist the corporate tax team in managing sales and use tax software.
• Data Validation: Validate business intelligence data, identify issues, and develop corrective actions.
• Process Improvement: Create value-added enhancements to existing reports and processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Junior or Senior status at an accredited university, pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience: Entry-Level.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel), effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative; ability to retrieve financial data from Oracle BI and update Excel spreadsheets; strong communication skills with the ability to interact with consolidations and functional department owners; ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
