Job Title: Category Management Intern
Program Overview:
We are looking for a Category Management Intern to join our Merchandising Team for our 10-week summer internship program. This intern will report directly to our Category Manager.
Location & Relocation:
This is a remote position, open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
Internship Program Details:
- Role Type: Intern
- Location: Remote
- Length of Program: 10 weeks
- Program Dates: June 1st – August 7th
- Internship On-Site Meeting: July 14th – July 15th (Travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY is required. Reasonable and necessary travel expenses will be reimbursed. Interns are also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond this visit.)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET
- Pay: $20.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and monitor Purchase Orders (PO’s) to ensure suppliers are meeting agreed-upon delivery deadlines.
- Schedule factory audits with third-party auditors and monitor results with lead personnel.
- Order development samples and monitor feedback.
- Gather SKU data information from suppliers and pass it to team members for Product Detail Page (PDP) updates.
- Attend and participate in team meetings with cross-functional teams and send recaps of action items.
- Analyze our competition’s assortment to identify any gaps in our product offering.
- Build relationships with suppliers and work directly with them on daily requests.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, Merchandising, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly execute assigned tasks.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
