The Tone:
This is a full-time, preceptor-directed Administrative Fellowship at Essentia Health, with available locations in Fargo, ND, Brainerd, MN, or Duluth, MN. A possible remote/hybrid option is also available. Essentia Health is a healthcare organization committed to developing future leaders in healthcare management. This one-year program is specifically designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the practical application of management principles within a healthcare setting, fostering independence and experiential learning. The role is crucial for assisting individuals in transitioning their Masters of Healthcare Administration or Masters of Business Administration degree into actual management of healthcare organizations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Preceptor-Directed Learning: Engage in a preceptor-directed program designed to nurture independence and experiential learning in healthcare management.
• Leadership Exposure: Work side-by-side with Senior Leaders to experience a wide range of leadership opportunities within the organization.
• Strategic Contributions: Participate in initiatives related to Strategic Planning, Business Development, and the exploration of New Ventures.
• Operational Engagement: Gain experience in Operations, Employee Engagement Strategies, and Process Improvement across various departments.
• Rotational Experience: Explore diverse functional areas including Administration Services, Finance, Human Resources, Clinical Operations, Information Systems, and Hospital Based Services.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Master’s of Healthcare Administration or a Master’s of Business Administration degree, signaling the academic foundation for an entry-level career in healthcare management.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is required, as this fellowship is designed to facilitate the transition from academic study to practical management within healthcare organizations.
