About the Role

Are you an ambitious architecture student with a strong desire to learn, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to engage with a variety of tasks? Helix is offering an exciting internship opportunity for students currently enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year of an accredited architecture program.

This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, offering invaluable insights into the daily operations of an architectural firm. You will work alongside experienced architects and designers, contributing meaningfully to active projects and expanding your skill set across various project phases.

Key Responsibilities

As an Architectural Intern at Helix, your work may include, but is not limited to:

• Assisting in the generation and development of architectural drawings, including preliminary sketches, design development documents, and supporting construction document production.
• Producing physical and digital study models to explore design concepts, test spatial relationships, and facilitate team discussions.
• Aiding in the assembly of comprehensive project packages for various purposes, such as client presentations, municipal submissions, and bid documentation.
• Preparing high-quality materials and visual aids for client and internal presentations, ensuring clear and compelling communication of design intent.
• Gaining exposure to processes related to construction administration, observing and assisting with tasks such as submittal review, RFI (Request for Information) responses, and potentially site visits (as appropriate).
• Contributing to general office duties to ensure smooth daily operations and a collaborative work environment.
