Description:

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Government Pricing Intern to become a valuable member of our Injectables team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry’s critical area of government pricing.

As an Intern, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining meaningful projects within a professional working environment. You will play an active role in the discovery, development, and ultimate delivery of our essential products to patients and customers. Specifically, the Government Pricing Intern will work closely with a Senior Government Pricing Analyst to assist in the meticulous calculation, review, and submission of all government price types. Furthermore, you will help prepare essential information required for state price transparency reporting and provide crucial backup support for our contract operations team.

The internship program is scheduled to commence in May and conclude no later than August, offering a concentrated period of intensive learning and hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Government Pricing Analyst: Provide direct support in the precise calculation, thorough review, and timely submission of all mandated government price types, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • New Product Launch Notifications: Help prepare and coordinate new product launch notifications for states that legally require them, facilitating smooth market entry.
  • Medicare Part D Coverage Gap: Participate in the review of Medicare Part D Coverage Gap invoices and meticulously prepare the necessary paperwork for payment approval, contributing to critical financial operations.
  • Pricing Reports & Requests: Assist with the preparation of various ad-hoc and routine pricing reports and fulfill specific data requests, providing essential insights for decision-making.
  • Competitive Research: Be actively involved in the preparation of quarterly in-depth competitive research, analyzing market trends and competitor strategies to inform our pricing decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Must be an Undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Academic Progress: Must have successfully completed at least 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other relevant coursework.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical Acumen: Possess an analytical mindset with a strong ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excel Skills: Demonstrated Intermediate Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, various formulas, and effective data organization. Experience with Power BI or CRM is a valuable plus.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exhibit professional communication and strong collaboration skills, essential for working within a team environment.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work effectively both independently and as a supportive member of a team.
  • Proactivity: Possess a sense of urgency to ensure that inquiries and tasks are managed efficiently and promptly.
  • Communication Excellence: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple project activities concurrently under general supervision.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Attendance: Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Legal Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. No sponsorship is offered at this time.
