A Day In The Life Of a PulteGroup Intern:

The internship culminates in a capstone presentation with local leadership.

Home Office Internship: Information Technology (IT Analyst Intern)

The IT Analyst Intern will be a valuable member of our Data & Analytics team, gaining hands-on experience across multiple analyst functions, including data analysis, business analysis, and data quality assurance. This internship provides exposure to the full lifecycle of data-driven initiatives—from gathering and interpreting business requirements to supporting data validation, reporting, and documentation. Interns will work closely with experienced mentors to learn how data and analytics capabilities support informed decision-making and successful project delivery across IT and the business.

Overview Of Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements, data needs, and analytical use cases.
  • Support data analysis activities, including data profiling, validation, cleansing, and report creation.
  • Participate in data testing and quality assurance tasks, such as writing test cases and verifying data outputs.
  • Help maintain documentation for data processes, data definitions, and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with team members during project and sprint meetings to understand data workflows, tools, and methodologies.
  • Provide general support across analytics and business analysis functions to contribute to project goals and deliverables.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Marketing, Communication, Architecture, or similar fields.
  • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application, or must have graduated in the semester immediately preceding the start of the internship.
  • Minimum of sophomore status. Rising juniors, rising seniors, or graduate students preferred.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at time of application or graduation preferred.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Curious and coachable, personable, and patient, action-oriented and accountable.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic about doing great work.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong tech-savvy competency; experience with Excel and Microsoft Teams specifically.
  • Strong organization skills, self-motivation, and learning agility to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bias for action and desire to make a meaningful difference alongside our current teammates.
  • Strong interest in the homebuilding, real estate, and/or construction industry as a preferred career field.
  • Added plus: students involved in extracurricular activities outside their curriculum responsibilities (i.e., student organizations, leadership roles, student athletes, NAHB student competition, etc.).

  • Format: Home Office internships are hybrid, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home days. The exact schedule will vary based on intern position and team; interns will mirror the schedule/format of their designated team.
  • Location: Home Office internships are based out of our Atlanta (Buckhead) location (3350 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA).
  • Each intern will have the opportunity to shadow various functions involved in the homebuilding process. This will give you a holistic view and appreciation for the homebuilding industry.
  • Internships may include a capstone presentation or final project.
