About the Role: Senior Solutions Architect

Are you a visionary architect with a passion for designing elegant and resilient cloud-native solutions? InnovateX Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be the bridge between complex business needs and innovative technical realities. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectural solutions across various projects and client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design & Leadership:
• Lead the end-to-end design of complex, large-scale, and highly available software systems and platforms, primarily leveraging cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Define architectural patterns, principles, and best practices that guide engineering teams in developing robust and scalable solutions.
• Translate business requirements and product roadmaps into detailed technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
• Conduct comprehensive architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to standards and architectural vision.
• Technical Strategy & Innovation:
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in cloud computing, microservices, data architecture, security, and DevOps.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools, conduct proof-of-concepts, and make recommendations for their adoption to enhance our technical capabilities.
• Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for architectural improvements, modernization, and optimization across our existing systems.
• Collaboration & Mentorship:
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering leads, project managers, and other architects to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
• Act as a technical mentor and subject matter expert for engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Present complex technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Security & Compliance:
• Integrate security best practices into all architectural designs, ensuring solutions are robust against threats and compliant with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Work closely with security teams to define and implement secure design principles and risk mitigation strategies.
• Performance & Cost Optimization:
• Design architectures with a strong focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization within cloud environments.
• Documentation:
• Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design documents, diagrams, and technical specifications.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience:
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 3-5 years specifically in a Solutions Architect or Lead Architect role designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, high-impact technical projects.
• Technical Expertise:
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services for compute, storage, networking, databases, serverless, and messaging. Multi-cloud experience is a significant plus.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API design (RESTful, GraphQL).
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js) and familiarity with various frameworks.
• Extensive experience with database technologies (relational and NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
• Solid grasp of networking principles, security best practices, and identity & access management (IAM).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Architectural Principles:
• Demonstrable knowledge of architectural patterns, design principles, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to assess existing systems and propose refactoring or modernization strategies.
• Soft Skills:
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, capable of guiding and motivating engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• High degree of autonomy, proactiveness, and strategic thinking.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
