We are actively seeking a highly driven Marketing and Communications Intern to join our growing team this summer.

As a Marketing Intern, you will receive invaluable mentorship and guidance from experienced industry leaders. This remote volunteer position offers immense flexibility with adaptable hours and a minimal time commitment, allowing you to gain practical experience in building and maintaining digital presences, working with cutting-edge technologies, and collaborating within a skilled professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a flexible role, requiring attendance at virtual team meetings once a week. Most other responsibilities can be completed at your own pace and time.

  • Strategic Content Creation:
    • Develop engaging website copy, compelling email campaigns, and impactful social media captions and marketing copy tailored specifically for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and X.
    • Conduct essential market research on target customers, competitors, and relevant industry trends (SaaS, productivity, meetings, scheduling) to strategically inform and optimize content strategy.
    • Assist in the creation of crucial pitch decks, one-pagers, and other investor- or customer-facing marketing materials as needed.
  • Graphic Design & Visual Storytelling:
    • Create visually engaging graphics for social media, landing pages, and comprehensive marketing campaigns, ensuring full alignment with SureAttend’s brand identity.
    • Design impactful static visuals and provide assistance with short-form video editing for product demos, explainers, or engaging social media content.
  • Social Media Management & Community Engagement:
    • Assist in the meticulous planning, diligent scheduling, and effective execution of content across SureAttend’s social media channels, maintaining a robust content calendar.
    • Support vital community engagement initiatives and actively contribute to audience growth across all SureAttend’s social platforms.
  • Brand Messaging & Strategy Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with the founder to rigorously test and iteratively refine messaging that resonates most effectively with users and early adopters.
  • Industry Trend Monitoring & Adaptation:
    • Continuously stay up-to-date on the latest trends in startup marketing, design, and social media to consistently bring fresh, innovative ideas and perspectives to the team.
    • Remain informed about emerging technologies and best practices in web development and digital marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program or a recent graduate (within the last 1-2 years) in Marketing, Graphic Design, Business, Communications, or a closely related field.
  • Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design tools, specifically Canva. Experience with other design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) or video editing tools is a valuable plus.
  • Core Competencies: Possesses strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Teamwork & Adaptability: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic startup environment and an eagerness to learn and quickly adapt to new technologies and evolving strategies.
