Job Description: Product Manager Internship
This is an opportunity for a Product Manager Intern within a small team dedicated to building a brand new mobile game. This game is a partnership with a “biggest and most beloved IPs on Earth,” promising a unique and highly engaging experience.
About the Internship:
• Duration: Approximately 12 to 13 weeks in Summer 2026.
• Location: Fully remote, with optional in-office work at the Irvine HQ for local interns.
• Compensation: $45/HR – $50/HR.
Your Role as a Product Manager Intern:
As a Product Manager, you will be a core “creator and builder,” responsible for driving results that ensure the game’s success and sustainability. This involves designing key features, particularly around progression and monetization systems, defining product strategy, setting goals, and establishing metrics to track progress.
Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):
• Feature Pitching & Evolution: Propose, refine, and improve game features, especially those related to progression and monetization.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze in-game telemetry data using dashboards and queries to uncover insights that inform product direction.
• Clear Feature Definition: Create detailed feature specification documents, providing clear goals and success criteria for design and engineering teams.
• Prioritization & Impact: Assist in prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure the team focuses on the most impactful opportunities.
• Research & Learning: Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies, analyze findings, and communicate them to the team.
• Market Awareness: Research and “tear down” competitive titles to identify market trends, opportunities, and transferable lessons.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, art, and data science teams to align gameplay experiences with performance goals.
Required Qualifications (What You’ll Need):
• A genuine love for mobile games and curiosity about their fun and success factors.
• Demonstrated structured problem-solving abilities.
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with data, dashboards, and tools like Excel/Google Sheets.
• A collaborative spirit and eagerness to work cross-functionally.
• Good organizational skills to assist in task prioritization.
Nice To Have (But Not Necessary):
• Experience in designing or conducting user research studies (qualitative or quantitative).
• Hands-on experience with product analytics tools.
• Comfort with writing feature specifications or experience in agile development environments.
• Technical literacy, including familiarity with SQL, basic scripting, or telemetry pipelines.
• Prior experience working on mobile products, particularly in gaming or entertainment.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a 2-year MBA program, with an anticipated graduation date in 2027.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
