This is for an Investment Intern position, designed to assist the company’s Investment Team.

Reports to: Senior Investment Portfolio Manager
Job Status: Hourly
Hours: 20 – 38.5 hours per week
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Location: On-site at the KFB State Office in Louisville, KY
Term: August 2025 to December 2025 (with a possibility of extension by mutual agreement)

Overview of Duties:

The intern will play a supportive role to the Investment Team, focusing on data management, research, and presentation development. This includes participation in departmental projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Analysis: Analyze companies, industries, and themes that impact both equity and fixed income portfolios.
Data Management:
• Collect, compile, and interpret market and economic data.
• Update and organize Investment data files.
Presentations: Create or update slides for various presentations.
Research: Create investment research and analyze market data.
Industry Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry and its related investment strategies.
Reporting: Prepare a detailed research report on an assigned company or sector.
Attendance: Maintain regular, predictable attendance, as the role requires physical presence in the office.

Qualifications:

Education:
• Four-year degree (currently in process) is required.
• A major in Finance, Economics, or Accounting is preferred.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in the field or a related area.
Skills:
• Demonstrated experience in problem-solving.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Accurate keyboarding skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with both internal colleagues and external contacts.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
