Job Description:
This is a PAID Internship Program called Advance & Earn (A&E) Direct Support Professional (DSP) program, specifically for NYC Youths aged 18-24 years old who are looking to become Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

Role of a DSP:
DSPs provide vital assistance and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Program Details:
• Program Name: Advance & Earn (A&E) DSP program
• Target Audience: Young adults (18-24 years old) in NYC
• Program Type: Paid Internship
• Next Program Dates: September 2nd, 2025 through January 16th, 2026 (Fall Program)
• Classroom Locations:
• Lower Manhattan: 83 Maiden Lane
• Staten Island: 25 Victory Blvd, 3rd Floor

Program Provides:
• Training: 20 weeks of high-level training with mentorship from industry leaders.
• Internship Pay: $18 per hour
• Internship Hours: Monday-Friday, 15-25 hours/week, for up to 250 hours.
• Certification: Nationally Recognized Certification from the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP).
• Employment Assistance: Job placement assistance.
• Daily Support: Daily Lunch and Metro card.
• Support Services: Assistance in accessing necessary services and benefits.
• Learning Environment: small group sessions with individualized attention.
• Personal Support: Counseling and social/emotional support.
