About Year Up United:
Year Up United is an intensive job training program lasting one year or less, designed for young adults. The program combines in-classroom skill development with internships and job placement services, along with personalized coaching and mentorship. Participants receive an educational stipend. The program’s job placement support is facilitated through YUPRO Placement, their industry-leading talent placement firm. Internship opportunities exist with leading organizations in the California Bay Area (Pleasant Hill, San Francisco, San Jose), including Salesforce, Workday, and PayPal.
Job Description (Program Description):
Year Up United offers a comprehensive training program focused on developing both technical and professional skills. The program is designed to launch participants into successful careers.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Age: 18-29 years old
• High school graduate or GED recipient
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Availability: Monday-Friday throughout the program duration
• High motivation to learn technical and professional skills
• No Bachelor’s degree obtained
Training and Skills Gained:
Participants gain professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking skills, and resume building expertise. Ongoing support and guidance are provided to assist with career launch. The program includes in-depth classes in various areas:
• Application Development & Support
• Customer Success
• Helpdesk/Desktop Support
• Project Management Support
• Data Analytics
• Quality Assurance
• Business Fundamentals
• Cyber Security
Compensation and Benefits:**
During the internship phase, students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.
Post-Program Outcomes:**
75% of Year Up United graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months of graduation. Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of fifty-three thousand dollars per year.
