Job Title: Wholesale Intern

JOB SUMMARY:
The Wholesale Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of L’Occitane North America’s wholesale business. This involves being a proactive team player, detail-oriented, and excited by sales and growth. The intern will be responsible for ensuring the wholesale business aligns with the L’Occitane brand vision and will act as a champion for these businesses among both internal teams and external partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall Support: The intern will provide comprehensive support across various aspects of the wholesale business, including:
• Assortment Management: Keeping product assortments current and accurate for all wholesale partners, which include major retailers like Amazon, TV Channels, Macy’s, and Ulta.
• Inventory Analysis: Performing analysis of inventory levels for accounts.
• Data Pulling: Extracting sales data from various retailer portals.
• Portal Maintenance: Regularly updating and maintaining retailer-specific online portals.
• Online Site Audits: Conducting audits of product detail pages (PDPs) on retailer websites and updating SKU information as needed to ensure accuracy.
• Meeting Coordination: Managing the calendar for key buyer meetings, particularly for market weeks.
• Market Week Planning: Assisting in the logistical and strategic planning for all accounts during market weeks.
• Account Administration: Providing administrative support for accounts, which includes tasks such as creating new SKUs, completing asset forms, coordinating samples for buyers, and managing gratis (complimentary products).
• Product Closet Management: Organizing and maintaining the wholesale product closet, ensuring it is updated with new product launches.
• Ad Hoc Reporting: Generating various reports as requested by the Wholesale Director to assist with business insights and decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS:

• EDUCATION:
• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

• Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience working with consumer products, particularly within the beauty or luxury products sectors, is strongly preferred.

• Skills:
• Technical Proficiency:
• Proficient in MS Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel (with strong skills in Pivot tables), and PowerPoint.
• Communication:
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills are essential.
• Organization & Detail:
• Must be detailed-oriented and possess excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
• Integrity & Judgment:
• Possess a high level of integrity, demonstrating good judgment and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

• Strong grasp of business strategy and the ability to prioritize opportunities.

• Physical & Travel Requirements:
• Availability: Must be available to work 28 hours per week, with Tuesday to Thursday preferred.
• Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
• Travel: Ability to travel to the NY office as required.
