Wealth Management Internship: Fall 2026 | Willis Johnson Wealth

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Willis Johnson Wealth. The firm is a fast-growing, award-winning wealth management company specializing in optimizing the personal financial lives of corporate executives and professionals, offering fee-only financial planning and asset management without product sales or commissions. The internship fully integrates college Juniors, Seniors, or post-grad CFP® candidates into an advisory team, providing technical training, one-on-one mentoring, and valuable networking. This role offers meaningful exposure to the wealth management profession, helping interns build essential skills and confidence for a successful career while contributing directly to client strategy and projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Preparation: Prepare high volumes of Investment Review books, compliance paperwork, and meeting summaries for client sessions.
• Financial Plan Development: Assist in creating comprehensive financial plans, reviews, reports, and client presentations.
• Data Management: Input crucial data into financial planning software, specifically eMoney and Morningstar.
• Performance Analysis: Create and analyze performance reports for presentation at investment committee meetings.
• Research & Analysis: Perform investment and other project-specific research, including technical analysis using Dorsey Wright Point & Figure methodology.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student (Junior, Senior, or post-grad CFP® candidate) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Financial Planning. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is required.
• Experience: Demonstrated track record of initiative in academic, professional, or extracurricular activities.
• Skills: Strong technology proficiency, robust research and analytical capabilities, and excellent organizational skills.
• Bonus: A high degree of interest in a wealth management or financial planning career, coupled with a confident, poised, and professional demeanor.
