The hiring entity, River’s Edge Insurance Solutions, is a surplus lines insurance brokerage and managing general underwriter licensed in all 50 states. The role is designed for a diligent and detail-oriented Analytics Intern to provide essential support, assist with administrative tasks, and help the team meet deadlines, offering the opportunity to develop skills and gain hands-on experience. This position is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of reporting and data management within a professional environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide Support: Ensure deadlines are met within a positive, collaborative environment.
• Analyze Reports: Assist in the analysis and assembly of accurate and timely reports.
• Manage Data: Create, maintain, and enter information into spreadsheets, databases, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Apply Excel: Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
• Develop Scripts: Develop and implement Python scripts for web scraping and data extraction.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current college student or recent college graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.
• Experience: Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and data visualization; experience with Python for web scraping and data manipulation; available to work at least 15 hours per week.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization; detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks; self-starter, quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems.
