The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Truist Financial Corporation, located in the United States within the Truist footprint. Truist builds integrated financial solutions and wealth management services for individuals and businesses. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining relationships with high net worth business owners, ensuring they receive comprehensive financial planning, investment management, and banking services tailored to their complex needs. The advisor will integrate various wealth products to provide outstanding client experiences and drive revenue growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for high net worth business owner clients, selling and servicing a broad range of fee income and retail banking products.
• Business Development: Achieve revenue growth, profitability, and client retention goals by developing new clients and expanding services for existing ones.
• Partnership and Collaboration: Cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with internal partners and external centers of influence to identify prospects and enhance business development efforts.
• Financial Planning and Advisory: Establish client financial needs through sound profiling and personal financial planning analysis, coordinating the delivery and implementation of financial plans.
• Compliance and Expertise: Maintain a compliant portfolio of client relationships by adhering to regulatory frameworks and staying informed on economic, legal, and financial market trends.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent education and training.
• Experience: Minimum of five years working with affluent clients in banking, investments, or financial planning, or equivalent experience in outside sales and relationship management. Also, a minimum of five years in business and retail lending.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship management skills; robust written, verbal, and presentation abilities; advanced knowledge of personal financial planning/advisory, investment management/asset allocation, retail credit, and traditional retail bank products; NASD Series 7, 66 (or equivalent) and applicable state and health licenses (or completion within 90 days); SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment; demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or banking; completion of Truist’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) or Banking School; completion or enrollment in professional level certification programs such as CFA, CFP, Accredited Asset Management Specialist, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, Chartered Life Underwriter, or CPA.
