As a member of the Branch Distribution Center team at Premium Retail Services, a part of Acosta Group, the Warehouse Associate II will perform a comprehensive range of functions in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in supporting customer orders by ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of products from receiving through shipping, all in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

The incumbent will regularly utilize various materials handling equipment, both manual and mechanized, on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a challenging and rewarding role within a company that values internal growth and employee development.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions of this Position:

  • Receiving Operations: Receive materials into the Distribution Center from various sources including manufacturers, freight carriers, parcel services (FedEx, UPS), local vendors, and U.S. Postal Service. Strictly follow Branch receiving procedures, meticulously checking cases for correct quantity, condition, and proper packaging of products.
  • Stock Placement & Labeling: Accurately place incoming stock into assigned locations within the Distribution Center. Label products precisely according to client instructions to ensure proper identification and inventory management.
  • Shipping Preparation: Prepare shipments for induction into UPS, USPS, and Less-than-Truckload (LTL) carriers. Adhere strictly to customer requirements concerning delivery timetables to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Order Picking & Accuracy: Pull orders accurately based on information provided in Shipping Documents from designated stock locations. Maintain the highest degree of accuracy in the picking process, double-checking case packs, stock numbers, and units of issue to guarantee correct quantities are issued. Achieve a 100% RF (Radio Frequency) scan rate for all picked items.
  • Product Protection: Ensure that products are not damaged during any stage of the shipping process, from picking to staging.
  • Packaging & Labeling: Pack, package, and label outgoing shipments as necessary, ensuring full compliance with specific customer requirements and standards.
  • Staging Shipments: Efficiently move all outgoing shipments to the designated Staging Area, organizing them for timely pickup.
  • Inventory Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of product inventories stored within the Distribution Center to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the Distribution Center by regularly sweeping, ensuring cleanliness, and properly disposing of all trash.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate materials handling equipment safely and responsibly, strictly adhering to all established corporate policies and safety guidelines.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall warehouse operations and team objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Two years of dedicated warehouse experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with others, requiring the ability to speak and hear clearly.
  • Computer Proficiency: Excellent computer skills are required, with proven experience in UPS, USPS, and LTL shipping systems.
  • Attention to Detail: A strong attention to detail is a must, coupled with a sense of urgency in completing tasks and mandatory excellent attendance.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in small item receiving, order selecting, and shipping is required.
  • Physical Stamina: Candidates for this position are required to be on their feet for the entire eight-hour shift.
