Warehouse Operations Manager | NPW Contracting, Inc.
The Tone:

This role is crucial for ensuring the organized storage and efficient movement of all company assets, directly impacting operational effectiveness and project success. The manager will be key to optimizing warehouse and yard use and ensuring the safe and reliable function of company vehicles and equipment.
The TL;DR

• Mission: Owns the strategic planning, organization, and daily operations of the warehouse, yard, and company vehicle fleet to ensure optimal material flow and equipment readiness.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Warehouse & Yard Management: Plan and organize the warehouse layout and yard for optimal use, overseeing the storage, staging, receiving, and logging of all materials and equipment.
• Inventory Control: Conduct bi-annual equipment and tool inventories, update computer records, and manage the master inventory to ensure accurate tracking and communicate anticipated ordering needs.
• Fleet & Equipment Oversight: Serve as the primary contact for the operational usage, routine maintenance, and control of the company’s vehicle fleet and other equipment, including scheduling inspections, maintenance, and refuels.
• Logistics & Delivery: Coordinate and execute material and parts pick-ups and deliveries, tracking all movements and ensuring compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations for commercial drivers.
• Facilities Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and order of the warehouse, yard, and company building, performing routine maintenance tasks as necessary to ensure a safe and functional environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent. OSHA 10 Hour, First Aid, and CPR Certified.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in planning and organizing warehouse layouts, inventory processes, and operational strategies. Proven ability to manage equipment, including maintenance recording and scheduling, and comprehensive vehicle fleet management.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of 4-cycle and 2-cycle engine theory and repair. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities. Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record, and a current CDL Drivers License.
