Vice President – Infrastructure | North America Buildout | Madison Hunt

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Madison Hunt, located in New York, NY, for a global $30bn infrastructure private equity fund with a history of top-decile performance. The firm invests through two distinct global funds: an upper-mid-market open-ended strategy and a closed-end value-add mid-market fund, covering the full infrastructure landscape including digital, energy, and transport. This Vice President hire is a critical component of the firm’s significant North America buildout, specifically tasked with driving active capital deployment in the region as 50% of all newly raised capital is allocated here.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Execution: Lead the full cycle of investment execution for new infrastructure deals across North America, guiding transactions from initial origination through due diligence, negotiation, and successful closing.
• Market Strategy: Identify and evaluate compelling investment opportunities within the firm’s broad mandate, covering digital, energy, transport and logistics, social infrastructure, utilities, and services sectors.
• Capital Deployment: Drive the strategic allocation and efficient deployment of capital for the North American region, managing 50% of the firm’s newly raised capital.
• Team Development: Play a key role in supporting the growth of the North America investment team, collaborating closely with the new Head of North America and mentoring junior Associates and Senior Associates.
• Financial Analysis: Perform comprehensive financial modeling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment to support investment recommendations and decisions on potential targets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Vice President level professional with extensive experience in infrastructure private equity investment, demonstrating a deep understanding of market dynamics and deal structuring.
• Experience: Over 6 years of progressively responsible combined experience in top-tier investment banking and private equity roles, with a proven track record of successfully closing complex deals within the infrastructure sector.
• Skills: Advanced Financial Modeling, Valuation Methodologies, Deal Structuring, Due Diligence Management, Negotiation, and comprehensive Infrastructure Sector Expertise across multiple verticals.
• Bonus: Graduation from a top-tier university, completion of a reputable investment banking analyst training program, coupled with a strong cultural fit and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
