The Tone:
This is a full-time, remote role at lockchain R&D Hub. The company is dedicated to research and development within the blockchain space. This position is critical for leading the investment function, driving strategic capital allocation decisions, and ensuring that financial initiatives align with the organization’s long-term vision and growth objectives. The role will directly influence the development and expansion of the company’s portfolio.

• Team: Leads the investment function, collaborating with executive leadership, product teams, and external stakeholders.
• Mission: To lead the investment function and drive capital allocation decisions across lockchain R&D Hub’s portfolio.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Sourcing: Source and evaluate investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term vision and risk management framework.
• Strategy & Frameworks: Design and refine comprehensive investment strategies and help establish new investment policies for the organization.
• Due Diligence Leadership: Oversee end-to-end due diligence on potential projects, ventures, and strategic partners, including market, financial, operational, and technical assessments.
• Portfolio Management: Develop financial models, monitor portfolio performance, and prepare detailed investment committee materials.
• Strategic Alignment & Mentorship: Present clear recommendations supported by thorough analysis, contribute to strategic planning and market positioning, and mentor team members.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive level with an advanced degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in investment leadership.
• Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience in investment, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or related fields, including designing and executing investment strategies.
• Skills: Strong Investment Management skills, including portfolio oversight and capital deployment; solid Finance skills with expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and risk analysis; robust Due Diligence skills for comprehensive assessments; strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a data-driven approach; excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bonus: Experience with technology or blockchain-related investments; ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities.
