Vice President, Investment Banking | talisman

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Talisman Advisory Partners, located in New York City. Talisman is recruiting on behalf of a leading global investment bank, whose M&A advisory group advises infrastructure investors, strategic corporates, and sponsors across power, renewables, and digital infrastructure. This Vice President position is crucial for leading the execution and management of complex M&A transactions within a well-established and growing platform.

• Mission: Lead the execution and management of complex M&A transactions across the power, renewables, and infrastructure sectors.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead execution workstreams across M&A and strategic advisory transactions from inception through closing.
• Develop: Develop and oversee complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.
• Coordinate: Coordinate diligence processes and manage external advisors and counterparties.
• Manage: Manage analysts and associates across live transactions and pitches.
• Support: Support senior bankers in client coverage and origination efforts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier accredited university. This is a Vice President (VP2) level role within investment banking or M&A advisory.
• Experience: 5-8 years of experience in investment banking or M&A advisory with strong transaction execution experience and significant deal exposure.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage junior professionals and multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Bonus: Experience across power, renewables, infrastructure, or energy transition sectors is preferred, with knowledge of conventional power generation and/or renewable energy highly desirable. Candidates from leading advisory groups and elite boutique investment banks operating in power, utilities & infrastructure are of particular interest.
