The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Post Oak Group, located in the United States. Post Oak Group delivers institutional-quality capital markets and M&A advisory services, specializing in the lower middle market for high-growth companies seeking capital and profitable businesses pursuing liquidity events. This Vice President role is crucial for managing transaction execution across the firm’s capital markets and M&A practice, offering an experienced banker substantial responsibility and direct senior mentorship with an accelerated path to Director.

• Mission: Manage the daily execution of sell-side M&A, private placements, and capital raises from start to finish

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Own the day-to-day transaction execution across sell-side M&A, private placements, and capital raises, including timelines, workstreams, and deliverables.
• Coordinate: Serve as a primary client contact, coordinating with founders and management teams on process updates, diligence, and material production.
• Lead: Drive investor outreach execution, managing the outreach calendar, drafting targeted communications, and maintaining momentum throughout the investor process.
• Present: Articulate investment theses, financial profiles, and structures to qualified and institutional investors, fielding their questions directly.
• Oversee: Ensure institutional quality in the production of investor-facing materials such as teasers, confidential information memoranda, and presentations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Active FINRA registration in Series 7, Series 79, or Series 82, with 5+ years of investment banking, capital raising, or private placement experience.
• Experience: Proven ability to manage complex processes, multiple workstreams, and competing deadlines with minimal supervision, including meaningful execution responsibility on closed transactions.
• Skills: Strong project leadership, advanced financial analysis (including modeling and valuation), exceptional written communication for capital markets, and refined presentation skills.
• Bonus: Open to joining a FINRA member broker-dealer if not currently affiliated.
