Investment Banking Vice President – Business & Financial Services | Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at Intrepid, the middle-market advisory arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, requiring work from an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and remotely one day. Intrepid is a specialty investment bank known for its unique entrepreneurial culture, providing M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory services to a diverse clientele including entrepreneurs, family-owned companies, private equity sponsors, and major corporations. This Vice President role is pivotal for the national expansion of the Business & Financial Services practice, offering significant deal flow opportunities through the firm’s sponsor coverage, institutional referral relationships, and its parent company’s broad network. The position allows highly motivated individuals to make meaningful contributions to client engagements and take on important leadership initiatives, fostering career growth and job satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Due Diligence: Organize, review, and analyze due diligence processes and materials for client engagements.
• Financial Modeling: Develop comprehensive valuation analyses and models, including projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, and historical M&A transactions.
• Marketing Materials: Prepare comprehensive pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials for various transactions.
• Transaction Execution: Perform key steps in the transaction execution process, including compiling and contacting prospective acquirer and investor lists.
• Client & Firm Development: Support senior bankers in establishing and maintaining direct client relationships and contribute to firm growth through training, recruiting, and mentoring initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Vice President level with outstanding academic credentials from a top tier school, specializing in sell-side M&A advisory and investment banking.
• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of sell-side M&A advisory and investment banking experience, with a proven record of completed transactions from pitch to close.
• Skills: Demonstrated critical thinking, process orientation, strong attention to details, excellent written and oral communications, and highly proficient financial analysis and modeling skills. SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses are required.
• Bonus: Experience across the Business Services sector is preferred.
